Cauldron of Dyrnwch (or Diwrnach)

In the Welsh story Culhwch and Olwen, the Cauldron of Dyrnwch would only cook meat for the brave, the pot would never boil for a coward. Culhwch needed to obtain the cauldron to boil meat for his marriage feast. Arthur sent an envoy to Dyrnwch to demand the cauldron, but he refused. When the envoy returned empty handed, Arthur gathered a retinue of warriors and sailed to Ireland himself to demand the cauldron. Again, the fierce giant refused and Arthur's men stole the cauldron by force and killed Dyrnwch and his men with the mighty sword Caledfwch. Many more Irish gave chase, and they filled the cauldron with as much loot as they could carry and boarded Arthur's ship back to Britain.

The cauldron is one of the thirteen treasures of the Island of Britain, and one of several objects that can determine whether a person is virtuous or lacking redeeming qualities. It is called Pair Dyrnwch Gawr in the original Welsh.
