Blutgang (also known as Blodgang)

In the Dietrich Cycle, Blutgang ("Blood Fetcher") was the sword wielded by the giant Heime. It was shattered in a duel against the Dietrich, Prince of Bern, but instead of slaying the giant, the prince was impressed with his valor and made him a knight under the his banner. In the Norse version of the story, the Thidrekssaga, the sword is named Blodgang.
